Kayla + Kai | Historic Greenbrier Farms Wedding in Chesapeake, Virginia

This wedding was so special to me. I had the honor and pleasure of being invited as both a photographer and a guest to the celebration of Kayla and Kai. I must say, it was a difficult job to balance but one I LOVED and will always treasure. It’s so easy to love capturing the people you love most.

I’ve known Kayla and the rest of her family my entire life. She’s apart of our “Beach Gang” which consists of right around 50 family members and friends that I vacation with every single summer in Corolla, North Carolina. This crew makes every get-together a good time and Kayla and Kai’s big day was no exception.

Kayla and Kai decided to have their wedding ceremony and reception a few miles away from where they first met at Christopher Newport University. Historic Greenbrier Farms made for the cutest location. God most certainly blessed us with a beautiful fall day for their marriage and celebration the day before more COVID restrictions were put into place.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful historic farmhouse wedding of this sweet couple in addition to some of my favorite people as well! Here’s to you, Mr. and Mrs. Smith! I’m so happy for the both of you!

How cute are they? Kayla and her Mother-In-Law had such a sweet first look. Claudia couldn’t even make it into the door without becoming teary.

This was such a special moment for these two. Kayla’s mom, Priss, is a Breast Cancer Survivor. When she was going through the thick of chemotherapy and radiation, her daughters would sing her one song to cheer her up. Well, as you can probably guess by now, Kayla surprised Priss by playing that song for her.
